New in V3
As well as lots of small enhancements the major
enhancements in WebCompiler 3 are...
| New Modern Interface |
Created presentations support the
new "Office 11" look, as well as standard, flat and
XP themed looks. |
| More powerful
searching |
Support has been added for
Wildcards (*and ?), and search terms that are found
are now highlighted on the page for the end user. |
| Trial Version
Creation |
Trial versions that are limited by
number of uses or number of days can be created, and
can be unlocked by name/code combinations. |
| Authenticode Support |
Presentations can be digitally
signed using Authenticode technology. Previously,
attempts to digitally sign a presentation would
prevent it from working. This is now important as
with Windows XP Service Pack 2 a user downloading
and attempting to run an unsigned presentation
receives a very nasty warning message saying the
publisher is unknown. The WebCompiler Project
Manager will now automatically sign the presentation
after the compilation phase if required. |
| Software Passport
Support |
Specific additional support has
been provided for the Software Passport digital
rights management product. The created presentation
can now be "wrapped" by Software Passport creating
an industrial strength security wrapper with a host
of e-commerce features. For more information on
Software Passport visit the
Silicon Realms website. |
| Smaller Overhead |
The size of the code that is
required to run the presentation has been reduced to
around 600k from over 1mb. (This applies to
presentations that are not going to be protected by
Software Passport. Software Passport will itself
compress as it protects). |
| Print Screen
Disabled |
You can optionally disable the
Print Screen button to help prevent theft of your
intellectual property. |
| General |
Performance improvements mean your
presentation will load faster and run quicker. |
