X2Net SignCode 1.0 is a small, powerful utility for adding Authenticode Digital Signatures to Windows PE Format executables (normal Windows programs designed to run on Windows 95 and up) without needing the command line tools from Microsoft.

It can be used in interactive mode via a simple interface, just fill in the boxes and click the "Sign" toolbar button, or it can be used via the command line, allowing it to be integrated in automated build and release systems.

To use it you just need a code signing certificate from a certificate authority. Check out our Certificate Supplier page for details of where to get your own certificate from. Until you have purchased your own certificate you can test the X2Net Code Signing Tool using the test certificate we supply. We also supply a demo Root Certificate you can add to your own Windows installation to correctly verify the certificate chain.

Also provided is the capability to convert a PFX format file to the SPC and PVK Authenticode pair that the code signing capability of X2Net SignCode requires.
