| Q1 |
I
see there is a slightly newer version of X2Net BrowserPal available.
Can I just download it and install it over the top of my existing
version? |
|
Yes.
You should stop (use File/Terminate) your currently running copy
of X2Net BrowserPal before installing the new one. As with all software
installations you should make sure you have a current backup. We
don't expect any problems with installation of newer versions, but
it is simply good computing practice. If you already have a licensed
copy and the new version you have seen has the same major version
number then it is a free upgrade (refer to the Upgrade Policy topic
for full details). |
| Q2 |
X2Net
BrowserPal doesn't seem to be doing anything when I try to use it
from the Context Menu in IE. I right-click on an edit field in Internet
Explorer and then select the X2Net BrowserPal>>> command,
but nothing happens. |
|
Your
copy of Internet Explorer is failing to load the X2Net BrowserPal
Browser Helper Object (BHO). Some versions of Internet Explorer
have had bugs that prevent X2Net BrowserPal loading correctly (particularly
IE 5.0), and some other Internet Explorer add-ons have bugs that
can cause problems. Try upgrading to the latest version of Internet
Explorer from the Microsoft web site at http://www.microsoft.com |
| Q3 |
I've
forgotten my password and can't get at my data. |
|
I'm
afraid there is absolutely nothing we can do. The 256 bit RijnDael
encryption used in X2Net BrowserPal is effectively uncrackable with
current knowledge and technology. |
| Q4 |
The
Lock command is grayed out. Why? |
|
Because
you haven't selected to encrypt your data and haven't supplied a
password. |
| Q5 |
I
get "out of resources" problems and Access Violations
at startup and I've never managed to get X2Net BrowserPal running. |
|
This
is probably your video driver. Try switching to a Microsoft generic
video driver using Windows Setup and see if the problem goes away.
If it does you need to contact your video card manufacturer for
a new driver. |
